VBS Interventional develops interventional devices to uniquely access vital cellular information which will allow physicians to decipher and treat each patient’s underlying vascular disease process.

Vascular-based diseases are the leading cause of death in the industrialized world today. The vasculature is intimately involved in disease formation and progression in cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary diseases, infection, critical care syndromes, autoimmune diseases and cancer.

Our first interventional product, the endoarterial biopsy catheter, is the world's first interventional device to obtain a biopsy sample from the inner layers of an artery in a minimally invasive fashion.

Endoarterial biopsies will better enable the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of vascular-based diseases, and provide the synergy to develop a wide range of products, services, and pharmaceuticals that target vascular-based diseases.

Patient populations that will benefit from endoarterial biopsy include: pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary vascular diseases, organ transplant rejection, sepsis, peripheral artery disease, coronary artery disease, acute respiratory distress syndrome, collagen vascular diseases such as lupus and scleroderma, vasculitis, sickle cell disease, pulmonary embolism, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, primary and secondary lung cancer.
